The Black Point D1 Combined Cycle gas turbine is a 550 MW Siemens SGT5-8000H gas turbine unit installed at CLP Power's Black Point Power Station in Hong Kong. Commissioned in mid-2020, this unit uses the latest CCGT technology, achieving an efficiency over 60%. The project was a key step for CLP Power to increase natural gas in Hong Kong's fuel mix to approximately 50% and reduce carbon emissions.
